MARINE APPLICATIONS IN HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENTS

In response to the increasingly demanding requirements from the marine applications, electric actuator manufacturer VALPES has launched a new range of DVX quarter-turn actuators. The DVX drives have passed DNV-GL type approval, which sets standards and classification regulations for ships and offshore structures. It covers the safety, reliability and environmental requirements that ships and other offshore moving structures in international waters must meet. At the same time, the actuators are certified for use in ATEX / IECEx hazardous areas according to ATEX: II 2 G D Ex db IIB T6 Gb and Ex tb IIIC T80°C Db.

VISIT FROM OMAL S.p.A

After a forced break due to travel restrictions, we welcomed a representative of OMAL S.p.A. at our headquarters.Information about changes in the production program is regularly presented in the spring months in Italy during a joint conference of all distributors. This year we met at our company and the news was brought by the Sales Director Mr. Tiziano Belnasi and the Sales Manager for Europe Mr. Christian d'Elia.

ALUMINIUM BUTTERFLY VALVES WITH PNEUMATIC CONTROL

For an interesting project with a domestic customer, we used a less common material option for the WAFER butterfly valve bodies. In this case, the most commonly used cast iron was replaced by a material with a lower weight. The TTV aluminium butterfly valves with a centrally mounted disc were fitted with OMAL double-acting pneumatic actuators and ROTECH electromechanical sensors.
